30th Anniversary

Posted on February 6, 2019

Friends and colleagues of Vencomatic North America gathered this past autumn in Adel, Iowa to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its North American operations.

Founded in 1987 by David Thompson and his family, Vencomatic North America has grown from an office originally located near Calgary, Alberta to include a warehouse facility in Adel, Iowa, and with experienced representatives located across the country. The company continues to develop a strong network of farm-focused dealers able to service producers across all four corners of Canada and the United States. Over the years, Vencomatic has welcomed AgroSupply, Prinzen, and Davian products to their flock and, in 2018, Skov A/C also joined the fold to round out Vencomatic’s poultry-house equipment offerings.

“We’re proud to celebrate 30 years in business and look forward to many more opportunities to provide superior quality and service,” said Josh Thompson, Vencomatic’s Vice President of Strategy & Analytics. “We plan to keep growing with you, our customers, and continue providing you with nothing less than the best. Alongside you, we will explore new heights this year.”

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary celebration, Netherlands-based Vencomatic Group unveiled their newest equipment innovations. The Eco ACU, Pegasus Egg-conveyor, Prinzen70, and the Gallery Flex have joined their line of poultry-friendly systems.
“We are responding to open conversations held with corporations, farmers, and barn managers alike,” said Maikel Veron, Vice President Sales North America, Vencomatic Group BV. “Supported by research and experience, our goal of our new products is to continually improve the health and welfare of the birds, increase efficiency in production, reduce costs, and refine the ease of house management.”

While in Iowa, guests of Vencomatic participated in networking events and information sessions of interest to all throughout the industry. In addition, everyone enjoyed a celebratory family-style dinner at Biaggi’s Italian Restaurant.

Lotte van de Ven, CEO, Vencomatic Group presented a wonderful family history and presented Josh Thompson with a longevity milestone award.

David Thompson accepted a beautiful hand-made commemorative shadow box from the Adel employees.

Theo Hoen, past CEO of Vencomatic Group spoke with positivity on Global Poultry Trends & Outlook.
