Sales Representative – Eastern Canada

Eastern Canada, Ontario / Quebec, Canada Full-Time Sales

Through active management, the Sales Representative will analyse, develop, and implement sales strategies related to cage-free poultry nesting systems within a market area to achieve profitability.


Responsibilities and Activities

1. Sales Development

  • Maintain and grow customer account-base by utilizing direct sales strategies;
  • Develop relationships and complete sales with assigned customers;
  • Understand client needs and suggest equipment solutions to meet those needs;
  • Participate in pricing negotiations and purchasing contracts;
  • Monitor the installation of the products to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Travel in the assigned region extensively to visit prospective and existing customers.

2. Dealer Management

  • Visit dealers to establish new, and maintain existing, business relationships;
  • Educate, train and support dealers on products to increase their productivity and sales.

3. Sales Support

  • Input contacts, leads, and sales opportunities into the CRM software to track progress;
  • Develop relationships and complete sales with assigned customers;
  • Attend national tradeshows, conferences and seminars to keep up with changes in the field and expand product knowledge;
  • Network to create new business opportunities and company and brand awareness;
  • Follow process by entering accurate and detailed information into the quoting system;
  • Create and write sales reports.

Education and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in such areas as agriculture or agribusiness, business, or related field;
  • Experience selling in the industry, or strong working knowledge of, and comfort working in, agricultural environments;
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience with an education in sales, product management, or related field.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);

  • Ability to work independently, as well as being an involved part of the team.

Working Conditions

  • FRENCH / ENGLISH – BILINGUAL;
  • Extensive travel is required up to 50% of the time;
  • Able to work in Canada, travel across the border;
  • Overtime as required.
